I have a prayer request - Chad is really getting put through the wringer at work, and he may end up losing his job. It has been a VERY difficult week, to say the least, capping off what has become eight months of garbage. We are trying to plan for a worst-case scenario... without being pessimistic.
Argh. Our nerves are just totally raw, as you can imagine, while his boss just keeps being a king-sized jerk. His boss's latest stunt is telling us we have to reschedule our vacation! We already have the tickets and were leaving in a week when he just "decided" to revoke his approval for the time off. Chad has tried discussing this with him for three days, and he is just blowing him off. (What does this guy care how much this will cost us? We're made of money, right?) He doesn't even have the decency to sit down and talk to Chad face-to-face! He told him over the phone, and then threatened to fire him if he didn't agree to it. Anyway, this is par for the course with this guy. He treats his workers like his personal serfs, assuming this job is just so wonderful no one would dream of quitting. Yeah, right. Anyway, we're not sure what the bigger plan is here, and we want to be careful to make the right decisions. As much as Chad would love to just walk away and leave them all up a creek, we have to consider what is best for the long-term welfare of our family. Those of you who were aware of the situation and have sent encouraging notes or called, THANKS!!!!! You have no idea how much that has meant to us. It always seemed to come at just the right time! Twice since last night I have been in tears on the computer trying to figure out how to handle this, and an e-mail popped up with some support or word of encouragement. Please, just keep us in your prayers, especially that we will make a mature responsible decision instead of going with our emotional instincts.

Oh Ang, I am so sorry about this. Nothing like having an over bearing micromanaging jerk for a boss! I feel your pain! When Phil was having his issues with his heart attack we were at a loss as to whether or not his career would end over this but God worked it out for us and he will for you too! Remember sometimes we have to go through the fire to be purified more but God is there with you every step of the way and he promised in his word that he would provide and he will! Keep your chin up and claim his promises! Remember you guys have the "better end of the stick" when it comes to this job because you have a powerful and loving God on your side. I will pray about this boss too that God will soften his heart and that he will come to know Christ. Remember the heart of the "King" (in this case he's the boss) is in the hand of the Lord! Keep trusting in him who knows he may have something even better for you guys! I love you and you will all be in my prayers! HUGS!

Thanks so much, Jess!!!! I had myself a good cry last night, and except for a splitting headache (darn my allergies/sinus problems!!!) I feel a little better about it all today.
Ditto what Jess said. We love you and are praying for you and the situation. God is faithful to his promises.
Love,
Coco
